This course positions the Senior Executive Accountability Regime (SEAR) within the wider Individual Accountability Framework, focusing on the cultural drivers and the "3 C’s" of Conduct Risk. It provides a clear guide to accountability mechanics, including the Duty of Responsibility, Reasonable Steps, and the specific obligations of (I)NEDs.

Participants will learn how to practically map responsibilities using Statements of Responsibility and Management Responsibility Maps, while examining the balance between individual and collective liability. The module concludes by reviewing enforcement protocols, specifically the Administrative Sanctions Procedure, and lessons learned from the UK’s Senior Managers & Certification Regime.
